“Therapie Hamburg” trade fair to start in 2019
“Therapie Hamburg”, a trade fair and congress for physiotherapists, masseurs and lifeguards in northern Germany, will launch on October 25-26, 2019. The training event for Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Bremen will be held annually in Hamburg’s fairgrounds based on the successful “Therapy Leipzig”, the leading national industry platform for therapy, medical rehabilitation and prevention.
New north German industry platform
“We are establishing a high-calibre, ongoing education concept for all players in medical rehabilitation from practices, outpatient rehabilitation centres and clinics in northern Germany with ‘Therapie Hamburg’. Discussions with potential exhibitors have quickly made it clear that there is no such trade fair specifically for the northern German market. We are closing this gap in the market with ‘Therapie Hamburg’,” said Bernd Aufderheide, CEO of Hamburg Messe & Congress.
Hamburg as a centre of health
Hamburg is one of Europe’s leading medical centres. Companies in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical technology are ensuring Hamburg’s expansion as a health location. The University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf, for instance, is one of the most modern clinics in Europe and with around 11,000 employees, one of the largest employers in Hamburg. Start-ups from the health sector and established companies in the health industry come together in the Health Innovation Port, which was founded by Philips, to shape the future of the health sector.
